10 most helpful items to me!!!

I read this on a blog, and find it interesting.. so i think im gonna do it here.. for the benefit of anybody whose getting a newborn soon! plus, there are many people who have asked me about this lately.. so here goes..

1. My super wonderful Medela Pump in style Advanced Breastpump

I am a supporter of breastfeeding.. with only 2 months of maternity leave, i know breastfeeding will be rather difficult.. as all of you know, i was the owner of 3 pumps.. and now 2, after selling one.. but I absolutely adore my PISA breastpump cause im a low yield mummy and this machine definitely speed up the pumping process..and allow me to maintain my milk supply.. so this is my no 1 item!! after huffing and puffing, i reached my goal of one year full breastmilk.. it is of course doable, but i needed help.. hehe.. many more older moms at the office use their hand to express their milk.. altho i respect them for being able to do so... (cause it saves them money of course!) i read somewhere that hand expression MAY result in the shape of the breast to be odd.. i mean, breastfeeding absolutely change your breast appearance but hand expression may cause a double whammy.. but hey, i am not too sure about this too.. feel free to look it up!

2. My super light stroller - Maclaren Techno XT
Okay, you may think i'm vain cause i buy branded stroller.. but this is absolutely money well spent.. It is a very comfy umbrella stroller that is suitable from birth.. (so i only need 1 stroller!!) and super light.. other mommies who are always out with hubbies may not actually need super light stroller.. but I have to! I like going shopping, lepak2 and going out with frens and family.. and sometimes alone. so i need a stroller that is super light and easy to open and close. also, this stroller is magnificent to push.. the brake is easy to handle.. so i dont really need hubby to be around ALL the time to help with the stroller. mind you, i read almost all reviews on the internet before buying one.. this is definitely one smart buy compared to the rest that are ultra expensive and bulky

3. Car seat is a must!!!
Safety is ofcourse my top priority especially after having ammar.. of course, sometimes i am guilty of taking ammar out of the car seat when he's super cranky.. but having to drive here and there.. car seat is my saviour.. macam mana nak drive kalau kena pegang ammar kan??? so even if it is convenient, safety is the more reason to buy a car seat!

4. Exersaucer is luxury.. but useful nonetheless
Exersaucer is definitely helpful when I need to take a shower, run down to open the door or even to relax for a while. It helps to distract ammar for sometimes up to 45 minutes!! plus, it is stationery hence it is safer compared to a walker...

5. Nursing cover
During early days when ammar needs to nurse every hour (okay.. every 1.5 hour), nursing cover definitely allow me to feed anywhere and anytime.. of course ppl will look at you in a weird way.. but society is more tolerant towards breastfeeding in public now.. so it was not that bad

6. Organic Baby Balm
Ammar seldom had rashes attack and I owe it to this thing.. Ive used other diaper rash lotion but this is definitely less sticky and colourless.. it is also useful for other things ie mosquito bite..

7. Safety gate
Because we live in a double storey house, the safety gate is definitely a must investment. Plus, it relieves us of the duty to keep on kejar ammar not to panjat tanggat everytime.. cause babies and toddlers are definitely amazed by staircase.. dont ask my why!!

8. Baby bites
ohhh,, ammar absolutely lovesssss this biscuit!!! and it is one thing that i can bank on to keep ammar occupied (till now atleast) when i am eating or shopping.. it's actually biskut beras that is soo soft he can start eating it right from 6 months.. never leave home without it..

9. One suit baju from Mothercare
the mothercare range is really good because they think of all the small things about babies.. it was quite difficult to pakaikan mittens for ammar when he's really small cause the mitten akan terbukak and he'll scratch his face. mothercare's one suit pajama (yg macam rompers but long sleeve and seluar panjang) ada something that turn into mitten.. so, it's attached to the baju and babies cannot tanggalkan!

10. Baby monitor
Gave me a bit of freedom to move about around the house while knowing that I can still know if Ammar's okay or actually screaming in his room!

hmm... actually it is quite difficult for me to come up with the list cause suddenly i realized, we didnt buy that much for ammar.. only the essentials... and they are all useful!
